Audio Research Team

 

Audio Research Team conducts research and provides education in audio, speech, and music signal processing at Tampere University of Technology, Department of Signal Processing.

The research team is part of Multimedia Group at Tampere University of Technology. The research of the team focuses mainly on the content analysis of sounds, for example using techniques based on audio classification, sound source separation, automatic music transcription, self localization, speaker tracking, speech recognition, but includes also other areas like speech synthesis. The team has produced several state-of-the art results in the areas of audio-based music information retrieval and noise-robust automatic speech recognition.
